And With That, the 2024 Season Comes to an End!

What an incredible year! We’ve had plenty of ups and downs, good days and bad days. Sure, we had lots of things break down and Ben’s health continues to get worse overall.

Yet, we try to enjoy every moment we can. This year, we took time to enjoy sunrises, chased sunsets and the Northern Lights and watched the waves crash on the shore of Lake Michigan. We caught a double rainbow over a pier near Charlevoix, enjoyed time by the campfire and in the outdoor swing, and took time to watch the flowers grow.

We spent time together, had lots of snuggles with our basset hound, and stood on the porch watching the fall rains come down. We grew and harvested delicious vegetables from our garden, went birdwatching, spent time with family, and explored the great outdoors. As winter set in around Thanksgiving, we watched the snow fall softly in our backyard as it piled up more than all of last year in just a few weeks, and left a gentle white blanket over the earth.

2024 may not have been perfect. No year ever is. But we made the best of it. As we reflect on this year, we are so thankful for the way God looks out for us, even in the little things, and we look to 2025 with anticipation for all that is yet to come.

Happy New Year everyone!

Until next time,

Cindy and Ben
